WHAT IS WECHAT , HISTORY , THE FUNCTION AND HOW TO CONNECT TO OTHERS

*Wechat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service developed by Tencent in China , first released in January 2011. The app is available on Anroid , i- Phone , Blackberry and Symbian platforms . WeChat is supported on Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, and 4G data networks.

*WeChat provides multimedia communication with text messaging, hold-to-talk voice messaging, broadcast (one-to-many) messaging, photo/video sharing, location sharing, and contact information exchange. WeChat can 
('Shake', 'Look Around', and 'Drift Bottle') to chat with and connect with local and international WeChat users. 

*Photos can be taken and embellished with artistic filters, captions, and placed into a personal photo journal for sharing with other users.

*The app is available in the App Store for iTunes,  Google playstore for Android, blackberry app world and Marketplace for Windows Phone.

THE ADVANTAGE OF WECHAT

*the application WeChat peers can send voice messages. This means that it has been difficult for the elderly to type in the phone can utilize the maximumWeChat. Only with "Hold to Talk", we have sent a voice message .

*Another great feature from WeChat is the ‘Look Around’ feature which shows people using this function within your area. It shows people within 100miles of you whom you can chat with. 

*‘Shake’ is a fun feature from WeChat App where you can bump phones together to add a WeChat user to your address book. Friends hanging out can easily exchange contact info by shaking phones together. What’s more you can even do Remote Shake where you can find people who are shaking phones at the same time.

*‘Moments’ is a wonderful feature of WeChat App which I liked a lot as you can share amazing moments from your daily life which will be shared with your friends who can comment and interact with you on those moments.

THE DISADVANTAGE OF WECHAT

*It needs a internet connection to open this application

*disadvantage I felt about the WeChat application was that it was over 14MB in size compared to 11MB in size that WhatsApp is. But I guess if you look at the number of features it has .
